OPEN DIALOGUE WITH STUDENTS: DISCUSSING KEY ISSUES OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Today, M.M. Umurkulova, Acting Chair of the Board–Rector, Member of the Board, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Karaganda Buketov University, met with students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies in an open dialogue format.

The main purpose of the meeting was to answer students’ questions about the educational process, clarify the university’s academic requirements, and discuss the opportunities available to students.

During the meeting, students received detailed explanations regarding the organization of classes, examination procedures, the assessment system, the importance of the GPA and cumulative GPA, scholarship requirements, as well as the procedures and opportunities for completing practical training.

Particular attention was also given to students’ opportunities to participate in academic mobility programs, as well as the educational and professional development pathways offered by the university.

Students asked questions about the Platonus system, class attendance, current grades, the examination period, and other matters related to the educational process. Each question was addressed in detail during the open discussion, and students’ suggestions were also heard.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Madina Maksimovna wished the students success in their studies, emphasizing that research work and meeting academic requirements consistently lead to high results. She also encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities and resources provided by the university.
