NEW ACADEMIC YEAR: PRIORITIES FOR ACADEMIC WORK DEFINED

On September 8, a meeting dedicated to defining the key priorities for academic work in the new academic year was held at Karaganda Buketov University named after Academician E.A. Buketov.

The meeting, initiated by Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development N.A. Zhetpisbayev, was attended by faculty deans and their deputies responsible for academic affairs, as well as heads and specialists of the Student House, the Psychological Support Center, and the Student Palace.

Particular attention was paid to enhancing students’ social and creative engagement, fostering civic responsibility among young people, and ensuring the systematic and meaningful organization of academic and educational activities within the university environment.

During the meeting, the results of the previous academic year were analyzed, and key objectives for the upcoming period were identified. Participants discussed priority areas of activity at the faculties, plans for major events and competitions, as well as issues related to cooperation and coordination among structural units.

Special attention was given to staffing. Newly appointed deputy deans responsible for academic affairs were introduced to the participants. Their key responsibilities and areas of activity were outlined, along with priorities for implementing youth policy at the faculties.

At the conclusion of the meeting, on behalf of N.O. Dulatbekov, letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to deputy deans who had successfully fulfilled their duties during the previous academic year and made a significant contribution to the organization of academic and youth activities.

A new academic year brings new challenges, initiatives, and opportunities. Our common goal is to create an environment at the university that enables every student to fully develop, actively participate in university life, and successfully realize their potential.
