FIRST-YEAR STUDENT NAVIGATION: FROM STUDYING TO OPPORTUNITIES

On September 1, 2026, an intensive session titled “First-Year Student Navigation: From Studying to Opportunities” was held live on the YouTube channel of KARAGANDA BUKETOV UNIVERSITY for first-year students and their parents.

The program included 7 orientation lectures that helped students understand the specifics of the educational process, learn about the University’s services, and discover the opportunities available through student life.

The speakers were heads of the University’s key structural divisions: the Registrar’s Office, Student Services Center, International Cooperation Office, Legal Department, Compliance Service, Psychological Support Service, Scientific Library, and Department of Social Affairs.

First-year students learned:
how the educational process is organized;
how to use the library;
what opportunities academic mobility provides;
what is important to know about anti-corruption values;
where to get the necessary assistance and services;
what social and youth projects are available to students.

Such meetings help first-year students adapt more quickly, start their studies with confidence, and become an integral part of university life.
