KNOWLEDGE DAY AT BUKETOV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

On September 1, a ceremonial event dedicated to Knowledge Day was held at the main square of Buketov National University named after Academician E. A. Buketov.

This year, around five thousand first-year students from different regions of the country joined the university community. They are united by a desire to receive a high-quality education, master their chosen profession, and realize their potential.

University vice-rectors congratulated the students on the beginning of the new academic year. In their speeches, they noted that President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pays particular attention to the development of education and science, with support for these areas becoming increasingly substantial each year. Following this course, the university strives to create all the necessary conditions for students to gain knowledge, develop professionally, and realize their potential.

A special message of encouragement was delivered by Nursulu Ibrayevna Buketova, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor of the Department of Foreign Philology:

“Evney Arystanovich loved the phrase: ‘Great things are seen from a distance.’ This means that today may seem to you like the beginning of a new stage, but you will only be able to appreciate its true significance years from now.

Dear students, today a new chapter of your life begins. Do not be afraid to ask questions, seek answers, and try new things. Respect your mentors and remember: a university gives much more than just a profession — it helps a person find their own path.”
