DAY ONE OF THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC INTERSHIP IN POZNAN

From 30 August to 13 September 2026, a group of 10 staff members from Karaganda National Research University named after Academician Ye. A. Buketov are taking part in an international academic internship in Poznań under the cooperation agreement between the University and Adam Mickiewicz University.
The first working day of the internship began with an introductory meeting at Adam Mickiewicz University, which served as an important opportunity for participants to become acquainted with one of Poland's leading universities — its academic environment, areas of research activity, and international initiatives.
The meeting was led by Dr. Konstantin Mazur, who presented the university to participants, covering its educational and research infrastructure, main areas of activity, international ties, and projects. Particular attention was given to opportunities for academic cooperation and to areas that could form the basis for further collaboration between Karaganda National Research University named after Academician Ye. A. Buketov and Adam Mickiewicz University.
A separate part of the first day's program was devoted to global international academic cooperation, using the EPICUR Alliance as an example — one of the major European university alliances. Participants discussed contemporary approaches to developing international education and science, and the significance of inter-university partnerships, academic mobility, and joint educational and research initiatives.
The presentation gave internship participants a deeper understanding of European practices in organizing international cooperation and allowed them to see the prospects for integrating universities into the international academic space. Particular interest was shown in opportunities for creating joint projects, developing academic exchange, establishing professional contacts, and expanding formats of interaction between researchers and faculty.
The first day was also an opportunity for direct communication with Polish colleagues and an exchange of professional experience. During the meetings, participants were able to outline their research interests, discuss potential areas of cooperation, and identify topics that could be further developed within joint research activities.
The introduction to Adam Mickiewicz University marked an important start to the two-week internship program. In the days ahead, participants will take part in working meetings with Polish colleagues, visit specialized departments and laboratories, become acquainted with the organization of the university's academic and educational work, exchange scientific experience, and discuss joint research projects and prospects for new initiatives.
