Welcome to the department of chemical technology and petrochemistry
The Department of Chemical Technology and Petrochemistry trains specialists in the field of inorganic substances and materials, who are capable of modeling and optimizing technological solutions in modern production.
Students of the department can follow two study trajectories: Inorganic synthesis, production of pure reagents, mineral fertilizers, salts, acids, and bases and Fundamentals of petrochemical synthesis and oil refining technology.
The curriculum includes key subjects such as Chemistry and Technology of Inorganic Substances, Chemical Technology of Acids and Bases, Chemistry and Physics of Oil, Gas Condensate, and Gas, and Theoretical Foundations of Oil, Gas, and Coal Processing.
Graduates of the department are qualified to work as chemical technologists, managers at petrochemical enterprises, master technologists at oil-refining plants, or to teach at universities.
The department’s research interests focus on ore and mineral enrichment technologies, the production of new inorganic substances, and the processing of unconventional oil and petroleum residues to obtain alternative motor fuels and raw materials for petrochemistry.
