Welcome to the department of special and inclusive education!
The Department of Special and Inclusive Education trains specialists in the field of special and inclusive education.
The department implements the bachelor's degree program "Special Pedagogy" (4 and 3 years), as well as the master's degree programs "Defectology" and "Speech Therapy" (2 years).
The training program includes relevant disciplines and 5 types of practices that take place on the basis of a network of special educational organizations in the Karaganda region and on the bases of 4 branches of the department. Students gain knowledge in the field of special education and inclusive education.
The department provides the course "Inclusive education" in all educational programs of the "Education" group.
Graduates of the department can work as special educators/defectologists in all types of special education organizations and educational institutions with inclusive conditions, as well as teach at colleges, institutes of advanced training, universities and engage in teaching and research activities.
The department provides the functioning of the University's Resource Center for Inclusive Education, one of the main directions of which is the support of students with special educational needs.
The scientific interests of the department are related to the study of issues of professional training of future teachers of a new formation for a developing inclusive environment.
