The Department of Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education carries out systematic activities aimed at training primary school teachers who are capable of performing professional teaching activities at a high level in accordance with international standards in the field of education.
The Department offers bachelor’s degree programs “6B01301 — Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education”, master’s degree programs “7M01301 — Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education”, and doctoral degree programs “8D01301 — Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education.” During the course of study, students master theoretical and practical disciplines in the fields of educational management, teaching methodology, pedagogy, and psychology.
Graduates of the Department may work as primary school teachers, deputy school principals for teaching and educational or research activities, lecturers at colleges and higher education institutions, and methodologists in education departments for primary education.
The Department has established scientific schools in the fields of the history of education and pedagogy, general pedagogy, and the theory and methodology of professional education.
