Welcome to the Department of Theory and Methods of Foreign Language Training
The Department of Theory and Methods of Foreign Language Teaching trains specialists in English, German, French, Turkish, Chinese, and Russian as a foreign language, offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Students follow various language trajectories and study subjects related to digital and innovative technologies in education. Graduates can teach in schools, colleges, and universities, work as translators, methodologists, or in educational administration. The department’s research interests include multilingual education, linguodidactics, and intercultural communication. It promotes academic mobility and implements joint programs with partner universities in China, Russia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. In 2023, a dual-degree program was launched with Tashkent State Pedagogical University. The department has hosted instructors through the U.S. Embassy’s Fulbright and English Language Fellow programs. In 2023, a new department branch was opened at School No. 15 in Karaganda to support students' practical teaching experience.
