THE RESEARCH INTERNSHIP IN TNE CITY OF POZNAN ONGOING

On September 1, 2026, the international research internship of staff members of the Academician E. A. Buketov Karaganda National Research University at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań continued with the second day of the programme.
The second day of the programme was devoted to the academic environment of Adam Mickiewicz University, the historical and cultural landscape of Poznań, as well as the experience of cooperation between the city administration, educational institutions, and the academic community.
The day began at Adam Mickiewicz Square with a visit to the main building of Adam Mickiewicz University and Collegium Maius. The participants were introduced to the university's academic environment, history, and institutional traditions of one of Poland's leading higher education institutions.
The programme continued with a guided tour of Poznań led by Paweł Sowa. The participants explored the city's historical and cultural heritage, architecture, and academic environment. The tour provided an opportunity to view Poznań not only as a city with a rich historical heritage, but also as a major academic centre where the university community constitutes an integral part of urban life.
A special focus of the day was a meeting devoted to the topic «Academic Poznań: The Role of the City Hall in Education Management for Educational Institutions."
The meeting was conducted by Anna Wawdysh, Aleksandra Nowacka, and Agnieszka Susicka, the Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Poznań for Youth and Academic Cooperation.
The meeting addressed issues related to cooperation between the city administration and educational institutions and the university community, the development of academic partnerships, and support for youth and educational initiatives. Particular attention was given to Poznań's experience in establishing effective mechanisms of interaction between the city administration and the academic community.
The participants had an opportunity to familiarise themselves with approaches to developing partnerships between municipal authorities and educational institutions, as well as to discuss the role of universities in the educational and social environment of a contemporary city.
The second day of the international research internship marked a continuation of professional and academic dialogue aimed at studying international experience, exchanging professional practices, and expanding international cooperation.
Ahead lies the programme at the faculties of Adam Mickiewicz University, professional meetings with Polish colleagues, familiarisation with the work of university departments, training in working with modern high-tech equipment, and discussion of prospects for further academic and scientific cooperation.
The international research internship contributes to strengthening professional contacts and creates new opportunities for developing cooperation between the Academician E. A. Buketov Karaganda National Research University and Adam Mickiewicz University.
