History

The Faculty of Mathematics was established in 1972. The first Dean of the Faculty was Tasbolat Smatovich Smatov, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Associate Professor. A significant contribution to the development of the Faculty was made by prominent scholars and educators, including S.B. Baimurzin, K.M. Makhmetov, A.I. Iglikov, M.M. Mukhtarov, V.N. Nam, M.A. Perevertun, N.P. Kostrikhina, N.A. Almukhanbetov, T.G. Mustafin, E.S. Smailov, T.Kh. Makazhanova, M.M. Babaliev, M.I. Ramazanov, S.A. Abdymanapov, M.M. Muzdakbaev, K.A. Tursunov, L.K. Kusainova, N.A. Bokaev, E.D. Nursultanov, A.R. Yeshkeyev, K.T. Bertiskanova, and other distinguished specialists.
