Welcome to the silver university!
The objective of the "Silver University" Program is the informal education of citizens aged 60 and older, aiming to improve their quality of life and social engagement, as well as to strengthen their physical and spiritual well-being.
Sub-objectives of the "Silver University" Program:
1. Acquisition of new knowledge.
2. Development of skills and competencies.
3. Professional growth and career opportunities.
4. Personal growth and development.
5. Broadening horizons and understanding of the world.
The "Silver University" Program at Karaganda University is aimed at fulfilling the third mission of the university — the social mission — which involves sharing responsibility with the state and taking on the role of a partner in developing human potential in the region. The Program Council of the "Silver University" is operating.
Forms of activities at the Silver University include courses, seminars, and massive open online courses conducted in both online and offline formats, with durations ranging from 8 to 72 hours. The academic year at the Silver University runs from September 1 to June 1. Upon completion, participants are awarded a certificate.
