DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

The Department of Economics and International Business trains qualified specialists with higher and postgraduate education in the fields of business and management. The Department offers Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree programs.

The Department offers courses such as: “Digital Economy,” “International Competitiveness,” “Innovative Entrepreneurship and Startups,” “Project Management,” and “Foreign Trade Policy.”

Students from Germany, Uzbekistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan study at the Department. The Department operates a Youth Entrepreneurship Center with a business laboratory, a coworking center, and an Applied Economics and Business office. The Center is recognized for students’ active participation and victories in the international ENACTUS program, hackathons, startup competitions, and project funding initiatives.

The Department’s research interests focus on institutional foundations for ensuring the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s economy, addressing socio-economic challenges, and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
