The Department of Economics and International Business trains graduate specialists with higher and postgraduate education in business and management, offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. Advantages of studying include the opportunity to earn a second degree from a foreign university within dual-degree programs, active participation in academic mobility programs, and studying modern disciplines under innovative educational programs. Students are offered promising interdisciplinary educational programs aimed at preparing broad-profile specialists for new and in-demand professions in the labor market. The department offers relevant subjects such as "Digital Economy," "International Competitiveness," "Innovative Entrepreneurship and Startups," "Project Management," and "Foreign Trade Policy." Citizens from Uzbekistan, Russia, Germany, and Azerbaijan study at the department. Attached to the department are a youth entrepreneurship center with a business laboratory, a co-working center, and an applied economics and business office. The center's work is notable for students' active participation and victories in the international "ENACTUS" program, hackathons, startup project competitions, and startup funding. The department's scientific interests are linked to studying the institutional foundations for ensuring Kazakhstan's economic competitiveness, solving socio-economic problems, and developing entrepreneurship and innovation.
