Welcome to the department of criminal law, procedure, and criminology

The Department of Criminal Law, Procedure and Forensics trains professionals for judicial, prosecutorial, and law enforcement fields, ensuring legality and order. Education is offered at all levels—bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral—along with dual-degree programs. Students specialize in criminal law within the “Jurisprudence” program and in focused tracks such as pre-trial investigation, prosecutorial supervision, and judicial practice. The curriculum includes core subjects like criminal and civil law and procedures, as well as relevant branches such as financial, tax, labor, environmental, business law, criminology, forensic science, and courtroom rhetoric. Additional courses include legal logic, psychology, forensic medicine, and accounting. Research activities address crime prevention, anti-corruption measures, sentencing practices, and protection of individual rights in criminal proceedings. Graduates work as judges, prosecutors, investigators, penitentiary system officers, lawyers, legal consultants, and in various public service positions. The department is equipped with a forensic laboratory and multimedia classrooms.
