Welcome to the Department of Botany!

The Department of Botany trains bachelor's degree students in the fields of biotechnology and ecology. Students study along four main educational tracks: biotechnology objects, fundamentals of biotechnology, medical biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, ecological aspects of natural sciences, ecology of animals and plants, environmental monitoring, and ecological biogeography. The curriculum includes relevant subjects related to biotechnology and ecology: Processes and Equipment in Biotechnology, Fundamentals of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Engineering Support in Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Mathematical Modeling in Biotechnology, Cell Biotechnology, Biotechnological Design, Biotechnological Research Methods, Ecological Biology, Environmental Design, Specially Protected Natural Areas, Climate Change and Green Economy, Introduction to Environmental Funds, Radiation Ecology, Global Ecology, and Social Ecology and Sustainable Development. Students gain specialized knowledge in biological, ecological, technological, and biotechnological sciences. The department has extensive experience in multilingual education. Graduates can work in general education institutions, laboratories, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, environmental protection organizations, and the healthcare system.
